As a musician and engineer, I have a natural interest in recording music since 1970. Then we had to use a role to multitrack recorder, which I partly owned coil with five friends, this was far from ideal, but it gave me a great insight in the film-editing tracks and timelines. If we saved enough money in the '80s, we moved to a dedicated hard disk recorder. This was a big step from recording to tape, but still not an ideal solution, as weshare resources among the five of us, and it was just one of many, many other components from which the shots. The computers in those days, with the basic PC sound cards, MIDI sequencing so nice with a keyboard sounds on board, we dare not ask them to do much more, because they were just as unreliable. In 80 years, operating systems, not as robust as they are now, and frequent crashes and blocks were abundant and only a part of the process we had to do.This has meant that the inclusion of a simple song, with guitar effects pedals, a drum pattern (created on the midi sequencer), bass and keyboards, have at least 4 days. However, this was much less expensive than hiring a recording studio and engineer.

I bought my first serious desktop computer in the early '90s and that was the norm then it came with a PC computer sound cards. I am a great lover and home recording enthusiast, I naturally rushed to buya top end sound card as long as I have informed the work. I remember that simply adapt PCI sound card and run it was a long and trouble with drivers and compatibility with operating systems has been a constant frustration. It seemed to me that even if the technology was available at the time, compatibility problems have meant that it is not possible, a personal recording studio at home, which was reliable. But with the addition ofDigital sound card at this time, computer games suddenly alive!

My first real PC sound card Creative Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold, was a thing of beauty. The box itself has filled me with hope and excitement (sorry - I know). He plays 12-string acoustic, electric, and with the help of two other friends we survived his songs purchased with the additionalLive saxophone, bass and drums. We also used harmonies and I can easily master the tracks with their own mastering tools. He wanted his songs to bring in the 21 century, and took him to a recording of his dreams from behind, as was a young man. What took me four days in 1980, I can do it in 3 hours, and my friend who is now his songs will be included on the moon. Sound cards for PCs have come a long way.

I have sold many brands and models of digital recorders, this time I have tried many recorders. I would say that the Olympus DS-30 digital voice recorder is one of the well-rounded voice recorder is so far the design and the features it offers for the price. I like the Olympus DS-30, so I do a lot of my recordings for dictation and personal.

I use this recorder to dictate a daily diary audio recording memos and meetings registration. RegistrationMemo works great, because the compact design of the DS-30, I can easily carry around in my pocket and I hardly notice its even there, and if I need to record a short summary or an idea is always with me!

I was very pleased with the capabilities of the DS-30 to note struck in environments where a large group of people. I used the recorder in many of my church meetings, I was in a meeting room equipped with at least 200 people, including children and infants. I just setRecord in the conference, with the low-cut filter on and then when I play I started playing with noise suppression. When I play back recordings of the meetings of the church are very pleased with how clearly I can hear the speakers impressed despite all the noise back and the conditions of poor reception!

Believe it or not, I found a couple ofDisadvantages for the DS-30. It records in WMA format, which can be a bit 'of headaches for people with a Mac, as they can be played only on a Mac if you get the Windows Media Player for Mac software that comes with the DSS recorder has a function to convert audio files into another format. So you are stuck with WMA files when you download or purchase third party program audio conversion.

I was not impressed with the overall quality of the MP3 audio playback, if you're looking fora recorder, a better quality of MP3 playback, I would consider is the Olympus WS-Series. The WAS series has an equalizer and SRS WOW technology for enhanced playback.

The DS-30 has a good amount of memory, 256 Mbps, which is sufficient for most people, but too short for many users. The DS-30 offers an incredible 67 hours of recording time, but those of the lowest quality possible so that I never use (the quality is terrible) and consumes only 4 hours in high qualityMode. For those who want to record a long time in high quality mode, I recommend the Olympus DS-40 or DS-50, which is basically the same recorder, but with more memory.

My father prays every night for 20 minutes or more, I decided to NIGHT AT MY DIGITAL RECORDER IN HIS ROOM ALL NIGHT PUT, I played in the morning, when I was a real creepy voice heard after my father thanks you.
